More than 4,200 PGA-staffed facilities participated in the fifth annual Patriot Golf Day®in 2011. Golfers nationwide are asked to donate a minimum of $1 to benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation® to provide post secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation. Patriot Golf Day has raised more than $12.8 million dollars in the past five years.

Budweiser is continuing their 150+ year commitment to the brave men and women of the U.S. armed forces by partnering together with the Folds of Honor Foundation to honor the sacrifices of the fallen and support their families through scholarships and other opportunities. Budweiser is dedicating the 2011 baseball season to recognizing their sacrifices with the Here’s to the Heroes program; for every home run hit during this year’s MLB season, Budweiser will donate $100 to Folds of Honor, in an effort to raise as much as $2 million. Budweiser, for the first time, is altering its iconic design to feature special patriotic cans in stores this summer, where every case sold, Budweiser will donate $0.05 to FHF; the partnership between FHF and Budweiser will significantly expand the mission of FHF to help these deserving military families.

Fifth Third Bank has partnered with Folds of Honor to raise money to support the Folds of Honor scholarship program. From October 11, 2011 – November 10, 2011, donations can be made at any Fifth Third Bank financial center in Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. On Veterans Day, November 11, 2011, the program will culminate with a Day of Appreciation, where Fifth Third Bank employees and Veterans will be dispersed around the Chicago area to collect more donations. There will also be a postcard writing station where guests can write to deployed service members and veterans. The Day of Appreciation will conclude with a press conference, held at the Great Hall in Union Station, downtown Chicago, and be topped off with the announcement of the Folds of Honor scholarship recipients.

The Volvo Rents philanthropic initiative will play a key role in raising the necessary funds to provide deserving military families with educational support and opportunities. As part of the initiative, Volvo Rents stores across the US are showing their solidarity by painting a piece of their construction equipment red, white and blue - and a portion of the generated rentals will be donated to Folds of Honor.
